- When introducing kittens to gruel, put gruel in a flat dish and place kittens near the dish. If they do not start to eat on their own after a few minutes, use tongue depressor or spoon to scoop gruel into kittens mouth. You may have to open their mouth and put a little in. You can also put a little gruel on their nose and see if they will lick it off. Sometimes the kittens need to adjust to the new taste.

They will not be able to use the litter box on their own yet at this age so you want to stimulate them to go to the bathroom both with poop and pee. You want to use a damp cloth to prevent their little bottoms from getting raw.
If for some reason their bottoms do start to get raw, you can you a little bit of diaper rash cream on their bottoms, you just want to watch and make sure they dont try and lick it off.
Finally, and maybe the most important is you want them to have a safe space.
Often people that have multiple kittens will keep them in a room to themselves, or a large bin. You want the space to be large enough to where they can move around if they get warm, but not so big that they cant get to the heat when they want it. Should You Feed Your 8 Week Old Kitten Wet Food Only
I believe that for a kitten, wet food is the best option. At 8 weeks old a kittens stomach is still relatively small and they may struggle to digest dry food properly. You also have to remember that a kittens teeth are still developing and will not have full adult teeth until they are around 7 months.
Wet Cat food will easier to digest for your kitten and easier for your kitten to chew. Wet food will also provide your kitten with the majority of its water intake. You should still provide water for your kitten as normal, but as I say most cats get water from wet food.

Also remember to provide water, as this becomes more important for kittens or cats on a dry food diet.

You dont want to be giving them a formula mixture that is too hot or too cold. Usually, it is recommended to do a similar test as you would a baby. Testing the heat out on your wrist.
