Bengal Cat And Rescue Cat For Sale

I have two amazing cats and it is with a broken heart that I need to find a new home for them. After having a baby, I have realized I do not have enough time to adequately love and entertain them. Apollo is a six year old bengal and Noir is almost three years and is a rescue. They both love to cuddle and to play! Apollo loves outside walks with his harness- Noir does sometimes. Haha. They are up to date with vaccinations. I do not want to separate them and am hoping to find the right home for them. Both are good with children.View Detail

Kitten Yoga Comes To East Grand Rapids

Seva Yoga in East Grand Rapids will be hosting a “Cats on Mats” fundraiser event.

EAST GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Could you downward dog on a mat full of cats?

Melissa Tungl, owner of Seva Yoga in East Grand Rapids, is going to find out.

Tungl is going to lead 32 participants through the first “Cats on Mats” event at her studio in April as a benefit for the Humane Society of West Michigan.

The Humane Society will be bringing adoptable kittens during the spring “kitten season” to a special yoga session at the studio.

The Humane Society of West Michigan adopted out 2,107 cats and kittens in 2016. Kittens are available at the highest numbers from April to September — what is known as “kitten season.” The Humane Society often works with foster volunteers during that time to keep cats and their litters of kittens in a home environment until the kittens are 8 weeks old.

The cats are expected to do what cats do best: observe in their aloof feline way – and take over the room as they see fit likely right in the middle of your yoga mat.

“Animals are always all over your mat when you practice and it’s such a cool, lighthearted exchange of energy with animals,” Tungl said.

Spots in the 6 p.m. April 21 class filled up within a week this January, Tungl said.

The idea came from a class at Blandford Nature Center, where Tungl said she was inspired by the idea of goat yoga.

Yes, goat yoga.

There’s a 1,200-person waiting list at a yoga studio in Albany, Ore., that offers classes with goats.

Your Planned Giving at a Glance | Estate plans, wills and trusts, retirement assets and life insurance are all meaningful options in considering how you can help us continue to serve animals in need, and keep Harbors mission thriving. There are options to give based on donation amount, age to give, or assets from which to give. It can be so easy! As little as one sentence in your will or trust could complete your gift. Until it goes into effect, you can always alter your plans to reflect your life changes!

A Timeless Commitment | Its never too early to use your retirement assets. People of all ages have IRAs, 401s, and 403s, yet these are often overlooked when considering how to help. These options cost nothing now, but have a lasting impact on what fills your heart. Legacy donors are lifelong partners of Harbor, and will be recognized as such, for years to come.

Heartland Animal Shelter Has Been Saving Lives Of Homeless Pets Since 2002

CFA Registered Pure Persian Kittens Available for Sale in Grand Rapids ...

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter, wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized due to overpopulation. Driven to make a change, Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartlands staff and volunteers are committed to giving our pets everything they need to be healthy and loved.

Heartland rescues pets from various situations and each pet arrives with their own unique needs. Some of our pets require medical care, some require emotional support, some require behavioral help, and all require good old TLC . Heartlands staff and volunteers are committed to giving our pets everything they need to be healthy, to be the best they can be, and most importantly to feel loved. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!

Why Should You Adopt

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Who Is Second Chance Cat Rescue Of Grand Rapids

Please note that we do not take cats into the center from the public.

Here at Second Chance Cats , our mission is to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia, or cats who have special/medical needs that shelters have a hard time managing. Because we are primarily working with area shelters and rescues, we, unfortunately, are not able to take stray cats off the streets or cats that need to be re-homed.

We are a small, volunteer-based facility, and we simply dont have the space to quarantine new arrivals at our adoption center. We ask that people please do not bring outside cats into our adoption center this facility is for cats who are ready to be adopted into their forever homes.

We wish that we were able to help every cat in need, but it simply is not possible and we are doing our best to stick to our mission of giving second chances to at-risk cats. If you have found a stray or have a cat that needs to be re-homed, please contact Kent County Animal Shelter or Humane Society of West Michigan both wonderful resources in our community that can help with these kinds of needs.
