To start, heres a quick overview of the Tidy Cats BREEZE Litter System: basically, it a really well-designed, thought out litter box that uses odor absorbing pads and anti-tracking pellets. Its so easy to set up, too. Basically, you just put a pad in the litter drawer and pour one bag of the pellets into the box.
Pellets
Speaking of pellets heres where my transparency with you will always be most important and my top priority here on the blog: Georgette does not like pellet litter. Ive tried to find one for 12 years that she actually will use. So imagine my nervousness to transition to this new system Because of this, we took things reallllly slow. As in, the old box lived next to the BREEZE system for about 2-2.5 weeks because I was so nervous. Georgette is a champ though and get this: she actually likes these pellets. I suspect its because they actually feel a little softer to the touch on her paws? Or maybe its because they clump better?
One thing that Tidy Cats suggests trying while transitioning is to stop cleaning the old box. So, I bet she started using the new one initially to have a clean place to go and then realized how nice these pellets actually are!

All in all, we loved the concept of the Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Litter Box System but, unfortunately, were not impressed with some aspects of the product itself. The litter box was sturdy and easy to assemble, plus it was very easy to use the slide-out tray to replace the pee pad. We didnt like the pellets because they were too large and somewhat difficult to scoop our test cats also did not like them for solid waste. The unit was great, however, for urine and contained that odor well.
It is important to note that Tidy Cats recommends the Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Litter System for single-cat use. They suggest using a single unit per cat, plus one extra. The cost of the unit and the special pellets may not be affordable for some multi-cat owners and it may be more hassle than its worth when it comes to scooping solid waste. One option that worked well for us, however, was using the system for liquid waste and having another litter box available for solid waste.
If youre looking for a litter box to cut down on maintenance, the Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Litter Box System has some upsides, but it may be difficult to transition some cats onto the pellets and it may not be cost-effective for multi-cat owners. Generally speaking, its a great concept, but the execution could be a little bit better to make the unit easier to use.

It is available in three sizes regular, extra-large, and hooded. Most cats hate cramped litter boxes and will refuse to use small boxes.
