Regardless of pedigree, any cat bred to be teacup-size is more likely to suffer from oral and dental diseases. Teacup cats are also unable to regulate their body temperature as well as their regular-size peers, Brunt says. Their smaller bones and joints also make them more predisposed to arthritis and injury.
Regular exams are important to ensure teacup cats are as healthy as possible, Brunt says.
Finally, Lisnik and Brunt say it is plausible that cats bred to be extra-small might also be extra-stressed, as their stature may limit their stamina and ability to act on predatory urges.

Persian cats do have a tendency to be picky eaters, but they will eat well once they find something they like. Theirfood should be high in protein and fiber and low in fat and can be wet, dry, raw, or a mixture of two or more types.
Since Persian cats are not particularly energetic, be careful not to overfeed them as their inactivity may lead to weight gain and obesity. Feed set amounts twice a day instead of leaving food out all of the time to limit overeating. Because of their flat faces, some Persians may have difficulty eating food of certain shapes or sizes, so if a Persian is not eating, it may require a change in the structure of the food.

The most important thing to understand about caring for a Persian is the need for daily grooming. That long, beautiful coat doesnt stay clean and tangle-free on its own,cecause of their long coats, it should come as no surprisethat Persian cats require a good deal of regular grooming. Without it, Persians coats can quickly become tangled and matted, which can be painful.
Eyes should also be wiped daily to prevent stains from excessive watering. As with all cats, regular dental hygiene should be observed in the form of daily or weekly teeth brushing. Regular nail trims are also required.
Brush the teeth to prevent periodontal disease. Daily dental hygiene is best, but weekly brushing is better than nothing.
