We are open Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm 5pm for those not wishing to make an appointment.

Why Should You Adopt

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Read the story behind this poster and see more! The Cat’s Meow Rescue takes in a lot of special needs cats and kittens, from those that are sick or injured to those that have have physical disabilities or medical issues that render them “unadoptable” in a shelter setting. Our dedicated team of fosters and rescuers work hard to give these special cases a second chance. Our special needs cats and kittens often require a lot of vet care which can take a toll on our rescue funds. We are always grateful for donations that help with the cost of care for these cats which enables us to continue our efforts to help cats that otherwise might not make it. To us, each life is precious and each cat deserves a chance to live a happy, quality life no matter how rocky their road has been in the past.If you would like to help us help the kitties in our care, you can donate through PAYPAL by clicking the donate button below. Single And Monthly Donations

Often we do not know the conditions affecting cats before we rescue them.

We Are Joining Forces To Rescue More Cats

We are very excited to announce that The Cats Meow Café is partnering with Miami-Dade Animal Services to support our efforts in helping place as many rescued cats in forever homes.

Inside the cat lounge, adoptable cats from Animal Services will roam freely in an enriching home-like environment. Our guests will get to interact with several cats at once, allowing them to connect with unique cat personalities. If a guest falls in love with a cat at our café, they can adopt their new friend right there on the spot.

At The Cats Meow Café, our objective is to provide a temporary home to rescued cats. This will be especially important during Kitten Season in Spring and Summer: the time of year when litters of kittens arrive in overwhelming numbers. Our cafés ability to temporarily house cats will give those pets that have been abandoned, surrendered, or lost the opportunity to bond with our guests and find their forever home.

Through this experience, we hope to create a stronger bond between the adopter and the cat. Our greatest desire is to inspire our guests to adopt a new family member. Together with Miami-Dade Animal Services, we aim to reduce the number of abandoned and homeless cats in our community.
