Why I Switched To Bobcat

Since switching to Bobcat, Jack hasnt gone a day without a machine on the job.

  • Construction professional Jack Stafford used to run a different brand of equipment that frequently broke down, and he struggled to get service in a timely manner a stressful situation for any business owner.
  • Jacks friend referred him to the local Bobcat dealer who got him in a demo machine.
  • After switching to Bobcat equipment based on the service he received, Jack quickly saw the value of the features his Bobcat compact track loader delivered.
  • Since buying a Bobcat machine, his downtime is zero helping him grow his business.

Back In Black: The Story Behind The Caterpillar 420f2 That You Cant Have

Caterpillar didnt have any new machine announcements to share at this years World of Concrete show. But that doesnt mean their booth was devoid of buzzworthy machines.

One in particular had people talking: a 420F2 IT backhoepainted bucket to bucket in black.

Technically, its a dark gunmetal. Whatever the true shade, it looks amazing. Strikes you like a special ops machine.

Everybodys asking about it, said Cats Sherrie Williams, adding several show attendees wanted to know when they could order their own 420 in black. Unfortunately, the shade was specially mixed for only two units.

Last year, Cat celebrated two pretty big backhoe milestones: 30 years in the segment and 300,000 of those loaders produced. Williams said the companys commercial team wanted to do something special to mark the occasions, and the black backhoe project was born.

Williams said Cat has no plans to make the shade available to the public.

The loader at WOC rolled off the assembly line in August 2015 and will travel around to a few more locations and events throughout this year, so keep your eyes peeled.

Are All Cat Skid Steer Keys The Same

Caterpillar

Are All Cat Skid Steer Keys The Same? Do you know the answer to this question? Help our community by submitting an answer.

LX/GT/GX/X Series L& G tractors, Gators, Z-Tracs take a single sided black plastic key. Skid Steers take a key similar to new model single-sided L& G keys, but the pattern is reversed. 790-990 Series take a unique key with a oval shaped end, but similar to the Japanese key above. New Mini-Excavators take a new key which looks like a longer version of the current AG Tractor key, this is likely a Hitachi key, which would also work in their other products.

Do all tractors have the same key? The same key works all tractors, the one they use right now has been around since 1992 I think. Before 1992, it was a different key but still universal.

Are Kubota excavator keys universal? Do you know the answer to this question? Help our community by submitting an answer.

Do Kubota RTV have titles? So Kubota with slow vehicle sign is legal on the highways like a tractor. You can still title it if you want, my dealer is sending me certificate of origin. To run around on state property for recreational use state wants it titled and decaled for proof of ownership.

    Three Commemorative Cat Tractors Built

With travel and gathering restrictions resulting from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Caterpillar cancelled in-person celebrations to mark the historic 175,000-unit milestone for its medium dozers. However, three customers took possession of the commemorative units, which feature special decals on the fenders denoting the 175,000-unit milestone. The 175,000 image appears inside the cab as well, where it is embroidered on the headrest and printed on a plaque denoting each units limited-edition status.

Built in East Peoria, Ill., the first two commemorative units were Cat D6 XE electric drive dozers, featuring a sleek dark gray and black paint scheme. The third unit, a D6 dozer with 4-speed, fully automatic transmission, is finished in traditional Cat yellow with special black tracks and blade.

Long-time Caterpillar customer and multiunit Cat dozer owner, Goodfellow Bros., a fourth-generation, family-owned contractor based in Wenatchee, Wash., received one of the D6 XE units. Before being put in the dirt in Hawaii, Goodfellow plans to feature the new commemorative dozer in the companys 100th anniversary celebration, planned for 2021.

Cat D6 and D6 XE dozers are manufactured exclusively in East Peoria, Ill., and Grenoble, France, along with other models in the medium dozer line. In addition, Caterpillar manufactures Cat medium dozers in Piracicaba, Brazil, and Rayong, Thailand, to meet global market needs.

Safety comes first when youre working with heavy equipment. Safe equipment operation involves establishing a job site culture that understands how to mitigate risks. What Is A Cat Skid Steer

A CAT Skid Steer is a piece of machinery that handles a number of different functions. Made by the Caterpillar Company, the CAT Skid Steer can lift heavy loads and run reliably over uneven ground.

Although you can choose to rent a CAT Skid Steer, in many cases, people prefer to buy them. This is due to the fact that they have more than one use for it, thanks to attachments that you can purchase separately. They are handy to have around.

These Black Commemorative Cat Dozers Look Pretty Wicked

This is a little bigger than what we normally cover, but these cool commemorative Cat tractors were too cool not to highlight. In 1985, Caterpillar expanded its revolutionary elevated sprocket undercarriage concept to its medium track-type tractor line with the launch of the H-Series models. Still unique to this day for the 130 to 350 hp dozer class, the high drive design conformed to the ground better, improving durability, serviceability and performance compared to low-drive and oval track designs.

The Cat D4H, D5H, D6H and D7H dozer models were the first to feature the high drive design, and in 1987, the D8L model was added to the family. In addition to bringing many of the same large dozer advantages to the medium line, the elevated drive sprocket allowed movement of the front and rear track idlers. This helped to fine-tune machine balance and ground pressure for specific applications more easily than oval track machines. For the first time, variable pitch angle tilt blades were made available to high drive dozers with the D4H and D5H models for finishing jobs faster by grading at higher speeds.
