Rare Kitten Born In Toledo
A rare kitten was born here in Toledo, and he is now up for adoption. His name is Callahan, and he is part of the cat and kitten adoption program at Humane Ohio.
Most calicos are female. Experts say only 1 out of every 3.000 calico cats born is a male.
Humane Ohio Medical Director Dr. Monica Monto was surprised when she realized Callahan was a boy. He is only the third male calico she has seen during her career.
There is a $25 non-refundable application fee to adopt Callahan. All of the application money will be used to help other cats and kittens in Humane Ohio’s adoption program.
You can fill out an application until 4 o’clock this Friday afternoon. All of the applications will be screened. His adopter will be selected in a drawing from the pool of accepted applications.
