Each of our beautiful ragdoll kittens comes with a one year limited health warrenty, health certificate, and the first two rounds of distemper shots. Spay/Neuter agreements will also be part of the Seller/Buyer agreement in order to obtain the TICA slip. All ragdoll kittens are HCM, Leukemia, FIV, and heartworm negative through testing of parents. Kittens are not for adoption to breed or show.

The First Ragdoll Cats
The first Josephines kitten Ann acquired was Buckwheat, a black female that looked somewhat like a Burmese. Ann was later given another daughter of Josephine, a bicolor she called Raggedy Ann Fugianna. The father of Fugianna was mitted named Daddy Warbucks. All these cats were Josephines offspring, but they probably all had different sires. Ann was very impressed by the looks of Daddy Warbucks, who had the appearance of a Birman with a nose blaze and a white tip on the tail. It was this cat that Ann called the Father of the true Ragdoll look. She borrowed him often for her Ragdoll breeding program. These three cats are the foundation stock of Ragdolls, for Ann never had a chance to get any more Josephines kittens. When Josephine had her next litter, the owners husband had Josephine and her kittens destroyed.
Are Ragdoll Cats Hypoallergenic
Unlike other cat breeds, Ragdolls do not have an undercoat, which is typically the cause for excessive shedding in cats. The Ragdoll cat will still shed. They are also not hypoallergenic cats. Of course, the people allergic to cat saliva will also be allergic to a Ragdoll, however, those allergic to undercoats could not be allergic to a Ragdoll. Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to know which allergy that you have. It would need to be tested by a dermatologist.

The Ragdoll Cat was developed over 50 years ago by combining the best characteristics of several different breeds including the Burman , Burmese , Persian and solid white DSH. The kittens who displayed the ideal temperament and coat were then bred to form the initial lines of the Ragdolls.
