Sphynx Kittens are taken from their mother at the age of 12 weeks. By this time, the kittens are already quite independent. They know how to eat, they know the scratching post, and are accustomed to the tray. Therefore, the newly minted owners of the Sphynx just need to give the pet time to get used to the changed conditions and show it the places where it can eat, drink, go to the toilet and sharpen its claws.
For safety reasons, wires, houseplants, household chemicals, and small items are hidden from the Sphynx kitten. A curious kitten can climb into the most unexpected places. Therefore, before turning on the washing machine or oven, you must definitely look inside to make sure that there is no curious cat there.
Sphynx eyes are not protected by eyelashes and require special care. They are daily wiped with a cotton pad dipped in chamomile infusion or boiled water. If redness or purulent discharge of the Don Sphynx is found, they must be shown to the veterinarian.
The cats ears are wiped twice a week with a cotton swab moistened with a special lotion. This is done very carefully to not damage the organ.
The claws of the Sphynx are periodically shortened with a claw cutter. The procedure is carried out with the utmost care to not touch living tissue. The teeth are brushed 2 times a week with a silicone brush with a small amount of a special paste for animals.
