“Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir” has charmed children and adults of all ages since it first aired in France in October 2015, before making its American debut in December of the same year. The animated series follows Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, two teenagers who also happen to fight crime in the streets of Paris as Ladybug and Cat Noir. Marinette and Adrien have to juggle their regular lives, their superhero duties, and their feelings for each other though they are unaware of the others’ secret identity. The show has been well-received, with Season 5 on the way, as well as a stage musical and planned feature film.
In the English version of “Miraculous,” Cristina Vee known for playing Sailor Mars in the Viz Media dub of “Sailor Moon”plays Marinette, while Bryce Papenbrook voices Adrien. Did Marinettes Voice Actor Change
It sounded like when Cristina Vee first started to voice Marinette. I couldnt really get over it, but voicing while everything is in lockdown must have affected most of the voice actors because many of the voice tones shifted.
Uh yah i actually just started watching the special and was so put off i googled it. I think it has to do with the fact the talking speed is slower. They had to adjust i think because high pitch voices talking real slow would just come off as whiny. . It also looked like they tried really hard to match the voice flaps more than usual too. Maybe wanted a more mature tone. Plus covid probably making it more difficult to coach lines as needed. Oh well
Literally Gabriel is the only voice that didnt sound different.
Will Ladybug And Cat Noir Date
Ladybug and Cat Noir are not yet together, but the shows creator has confirmed that they will ultimately end up together somewhere down the line. Meanwhile, both Ladybug and Cat Noir have also shared a kiss in one of the episodes of season 3, but the catch is that they end up forgetting the incident.

Whenever our hero defeats one of Hawk Moths creations and purifies their akuma, she unleashes a swarm of magic ladybugs that repair all of the negative effects caused by that villains superpowers. Because of this handy plot device, the entire city of Paris can get completely trashed on a weekly basis, and as long as Ladybug defeats the monster of the week, we know that everything will be okay.
But if you havent noticed, theres one particular iconic Parisian landmark that the show loves to destroy whenever it gets the chance the Eiffel Tower. This famous monument has been demolished countless times across the shows history, so we wont name them all, but lets run down some of our favorites.
The tower is first destroyed in episode 13, when the Mime cuts it in half with an enormous invisible sword. The kaiju-sized baby Gigantitan also knocks the Eiffel Tower over while hes having a temper tantrum. The Collector Gabriel Agrestes akumatized form even steals the tower and puts it into his magic book. And in the episode Style Queen, it isnt even a villain that destroys the tower. Instead, Cat Noirs kwami, Plagg, topples it himself with his cataclysm ability.
So while younger viewers might not even notice how poorly this show treats the Eiffel Tower, if youre an adult fan of the show, we recommend making this a drinking game.

Nino Lahiffe / Carapace

Tbh, Marinette and Adrien will obviously be a couple at the end. Remember the second episode of Miraculous when Master Fu said Those two are made for each other. Yes! Yes!
An Ocean Of Queer Subtext Lies Beneath Miraculous Surface
Though queer representation in kids shows is now becoming more of the norm in America, it seems as though France might be a step behind in this regard because there arent any confirmed LGBTQ+ characters in Miraculous, at least not in the canonical text of the show. In the subtext, however, its a completely different story. Miraculous contains multiple minor supporting characters who are pretty clearly intended to be in same-sex relationships, even if the show doesnt ever come out and say so explicitly.
The first major gay relationship in the show is between shy goth Juleka Couffaine and bubbly blonde Rose Lavillant. Though polar opposites in many ways, the two characters are clearly very close. Theyre often shown holding hands, leaning on or comforting each other, and the two are even implied to kiss in the episodes Zombizou and Reflekdoll, though its somewhat obscured both times.
The other subtextually queer pairing in Miraculous is the one between Marc Anciel and Nathaniel Kurtzberg. These two artsy kids are practically inseparable, and Marc is undeniably designed to be read as queer. Not only does he have visible makeup, rainbow clothing, and queer-coded mannerisms, even his name, Marc Anciel, is a pun on the French term for rainbow, arc-en-ciel. Series creator Thomas Astruc even semi-confirmed Marks queerness when he revealed that the character was based on a friend of his, the bisexual genderfluid artist Hope Morphin.

Cat Noirs Crush Is Pretty Creepy
Theres a big problem at the heart of Miraculous. You see, the romantic tension between Marinette and Adrien is arguably the most compelling part of the show. We want to root for this relationship to happen, and most of the time, we can. But every once in a while, Adrien crosses a line. To be frank, despite the shows attempts to frame Adriens crush on Ladybug as sweet and endearing, he sometimes exhibits obsessive, borderline stalker-ish attitudes and behaviors.
When hes acting as Cat Noir, Adrien repeatedly professes his love for Ladybug, time and time again, forcing her to endlessly rebuff his affections, and he sometimes even does this in the middle of their battles against supervillains. Theres even a bit in the episode Animan when he tries to stealthily smell her without her noticing. As you might imagine, she does notice, and she isnt too pleased. Since hes just a teenager, were willing to cut the kid some slack, but enough is enough. Seriously dude, dont keep hitting on someone whos already shot you down, especially not while theyre at work.
On the other hand, there was that time in the episode Cat Blanc when Marinette was sneaking through Adriens bedroom while he wasnt home, and she touched all his belongings and smelled his pillow, so maybe turnabout is fair play? Eh, you decide for yourself. Is Adrien unforgivably creepy, or do these two freaks absolutely deserve each other?

Miraculous Ladybug Loses Several Cast Members Following Wage Criticism
Animation is one of the biggest forms of entertainment out there, but it has its downsides. One of the most enduring complaints of the industry concerns actors and those who ink our favorite shows. The update comes after three actors announced their leave from Miraculous to fans online. Anne Yatco, Reba Buhr, and Joe Ochman have confirmed their exit from the Disney+ series. They oversaw the characters Sabine, Juleka, and Mayor Bourgeois respectively.
